Seni holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law obtained from the University of Sussex UK. He further studied at Cardiff University in Wales where he obtained a Master of Laws degree in the Legal Aspects of Marine Affairs. Seni is a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and an alumnus of King’s College Lagos.
His experience includes a stint at the law firm, F.O. Akinrele & Co. Seni later practiced at Shinkafi, Kusamotu, Olojo & Co where he honed his legal skills through the development of its Corporate/Commercial department coupled with gathering invaluable experience where the firm’s services was at various stages, periods and on different facets of legal services, retained by, and/or offered to, individuals, and corporate bodies such as, the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mainstreet Bank Nigeria Limited, Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc, First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Wemabod Estates Limited, Addax Petroleum Development (Nigeria) Limited, Bank of Industry, Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc. (Nahco Aviance) and Nigeria LNG Limited. Seni was a founding Partner of Acuitas Legal, a multi-disciplinary, full-service law firm in Nigeria. He is currently the Principal at Seni Kusamotu & Co, and has over the years been extensively involved in regulatory compliance, private equity and the legal aspects of project finance and commercial transactions.
Seni is a Director of Oak Capital Investments Limited, a multi-faceted investment vehicle and was a founding Partner of Purple Capital Partners Limited, a specialist investment firm with business areas in Principal Investment, Private Equity and Real Estate. He also served as a Director of Maryland Mall Limited, owners of the iconic Maryland Mall in Lagos. Seni is a director and promoter of Art Hotel 1 Limited, the owners of the Art Hotel Lagos, a 49 keys avant-garde boutique hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos. He served as a Director of Law Union and Rock Insurance Plc where he was the Chairman of the Board Strategy and Transformation Committee. He also served as a founding Director of Alternative Capital Partners Limited, a Securities and Exchange Commission registered Fund/Portfolio Manager and Investment Adviser which facilitated the first-ever acquisition and merger of two mutual funds from a bank by a local fund manager in Nigeria.
In addition to his legal qualifications and accomplishments, Seni is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) Nigeria Branch.
He is a member of the Lagos Polo Club.
