Mr. Wale is a pro bono advisor and former U.S. SEC, Investment Management Senior Counsel, who brings to the table strategic and practical judgment developed over the last twenty years, institutional knowledge of the agencies in charge of the U.S. capital markets – SEC and FINRA, and an in-depth understanding of the complexities of the financial services and securities industry. All of which he uses to achieve results for his clients which include asset management companies, institutional investors, sovereign funds, fund sponsors, endowments, family offices, public and private companies, and private funds.
Mr. Walé is versed on matters implicating the U.S. federal securities laws and provides practical guidance on regulatory policy, including rulemaking proposals and implementations, transactional matters, including on mergers and acquisitions, compliance programs, disclosure, fiduciary counsel, examinations and enforcement investigations, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters.
Mr. Walé was born and raised in Lagos Nigeria and traveled to the U.S. to pursue his professional education after completing high school education at the prestigious Ijebu-Ode Grammar School. Mr. Walé received his Executive LL.M degree in Securities Regulation and Financial Law from Georgetown University, a Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law, and a Bachelors in Economics from City University of New York at Lehman College.
Mr. Walé has been recognized for his dedication to serving the public, receiving several awards from the U.S. SEC including the Chairman’s Award for Excellence and the Chairman’s Award for Serving the Interests of Main Street Investors.
